Links to adjust for DST on your computer – if needed
At 2:00 AM on Sunday morning (about six and a half hours from when I post this), Daylight Savings Time goes into effect. The problem? This is a new date for the time change, and if your software was programmed prior to 2005, your computer may not automatically make the bump.
The good news is you can minimize any potential problems by doing a quick check. Visit Microsoft’s DST page to see what you need to do, if anything.
Anyone using Mac’s OS X operating system should have no problems, but you might want to check out Apple’s DST page just to make sure.
It’s my understanding that Outlook may need special attention, too. For a full list of Microsoft’s products that will be affected by daylight savings time (and what you should do), see this page.
