Time Off for Relaxation – Sort Of
To all the faithful blog readers and subscribers of my E-memo, thanks for hanging around while I took some time off for a MUCH needed vacation. River rafting is always exciting –and it’s a great break from the world of QWERTY. Could we call it relaxation? Maybe, maybe not. But the couple of nights of DEEP sleep after all the physical activity were certainly rejuvinating.
At least I didn’t take my laptop along to stay e-tethered while away from the office. That decision to be “wireless-free” was a great way to “clear the RAM” and get refreshed. (It should be noted that 20% of Americans check-in at work during their vacation—see The Vacation E-Leash at management-issues.com.)
Yesterday was consumed with “catch up” meetings, and now we’re baaa-aak. Some exciting things happening here at the Center for Workplace Excellence. I’ll fill you in as I’m able.
